There are a few advantages to having a treadmill with a TV compared to situating a treadmill in front of a traditional TV. These advantages are:
- If you don’t have an extra television, the extra cost for a treadmill with a TV may be cheaper than buying a treadmill with no TV and then buying another TV.
- You can easily listen to the TV with headphones when your treadmill is outfitted with a TV.
- It’s easier to change channels with a TV mounted on your treadmill than a traditional TV in front of your treadmill.
- If the space you have for your treadmill isn’t large, you’ll save space with a TV on the treadmill.
- You’ll be guaranteed to have the TV regardless where you set up the treadmill. You may move it in the future where you don’t have a TV available.
- If you’re smaller, you’ll have an easier time viewing the TV on a treadmill. In some cases a treadmill console may obstruct viewing a traditional TV in front of the treadmill.
- If you share the TV with other people, you can have control over what you watch with a TV mounted on your treadmill.
I can remember when I used my first treadmill with a TV. I thought it was pretty cool. It sure made my workout seem to go by faster. Is a treadmill with a TV necessary? No. Can it be a real convenience? Yes. In fact, if you don’t have a TV, getting a treadmill with a television just might be the impetus to get you working out more consistently (if you like television).
