Looking For an iFit Treadmill? Here’s List of iFit Treadmills

An iFit treadmill is a treadmill equipped with a port built into a treadmill console that accomodates an iFit Live wireless card.  Having an iFit compatible treadmill has some great benefits to you – especially if you like guided workouts, tracking your calories and workouts and/or are a competitive runner.

If you’re set on getting iFit, you need an iFit treadmill.  Seeing as not all treadmills are outfitted to accomodate iFit live, we’ve scoured the treadmill retailers and put together a list with links to the retailers where you can buy an iFit treadmill.

A good iFit idea for gym treadmills and other gym equipment

I really like the iFit treadmill concept because I like tracking workouts to some degree and I really like the idea of replicating race terrain.  I can see iFit really taking off if/when fitness clubs and gyms start getting iFit treadmills and elliptical trainers.

The trouble, of course, will be if other treadmill manufacturers or other companies develope its own iFit technology that is not compatible with iFit.  This would result in it being nearly impossible for a universal iFit treadmill compatibility.

iFit Technology Solution

Turn the iFit card plug-in connector and iFit treadmill console port to a USB plug which is universally used.  Therefore if another iFit-style treadmill technology is developed and installed on some treadmills, people with iFit cards or the other technology can plug their iFit cards into any treadmill with the USB port.

I suspect iFit or any other similar technology won’t go the way of USB port connection.  However, if I were iFit, I would seriously consider it (assuming it’s possible – I’m not an engineer) because any competitor who designed a similar technology but made it universally compatible would likely sell more of the “wireless cards” and subscriptions in the long run.
