Is a TV necessary with your treadmill?

I know from personal experience using a treadmill with a TV is a nice benefit, but it’s certainly not necessary. After all, you can easily place a treadmill in front of a treadmill or make it easier and place a TV in front of your treadmill.

That said, if you’re shorter and the console obstructs your view of a TV, you might prefer looking for a treadmill with a TV.

There are alternatives such as buying a special TV stand for treadmills which solves the problem.

The one disadvantage to buying a treadmill with a TV is you’ll pay a premium. That said, most treadmills with a television are higher quality treadmill.

With built-in speakers and being placed above the console, it’s viewed at eye level for most users. Some treadmills with a TV have the TV placed on the console which requires looking down while viewing. I prefer the TV being mounted on top of the console as it is with this exercise machine.

My one dislike about the Smooth Fitness 9.45TV is the 11.2 miles per hour top speed. I expect a treadmill priced as this one is to at least have a top speed of 12 miles per hour. I’m a huge fan of Smooth Treadmills and rate several of their treadmills as a top pick; however, my one complaint among their treadmills is the less-than-ideal top speed.
